We are seeking an experienced Manual Test Engineer who is looking to boost his/her career to the next level, to lead the testing of our energy market software solutions (web applications), developed by agile teams.
As an Application Expert you will be the one key person to know all aspects of our custom developed cutting edge specialized software.

What do we do?

The energy market presents us with complex and stimulating business and technical challenges. Our teams are comprised of 3-5 Developers, 1 Business Analyst, and 1 Test Engineer who collaborate closely to design solutions that meet varied business needs. You will find no cookie-cutter solutions here; instead, you will work on real-time data processing, complex data models, intricate algorithms, and high-availability systems.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
  • Conduct business, functional, and integration testing of our web applications, participating actively in both implementation and documentation.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the application at all levels.
  • Establish clear, verifiable acceptance criteria based on customer/inhouse requirements.
  • Create and implement test scenarios and cases, drawing from developer outputs.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to support and enhance development efforts.
  • Engage in the continuous development and improvement of testing processes.
  • Take on tasks related to release management, user acceptance testing, and support processes, gaining valuable experience.
  • Mentor colleagues and contribute to team growth and skills enhancement.
Requirements
  • Bsc. Degree in a specialized field of study.
  • A commitment to quality, thoroughness, and a process-oriented approach.
  • A strong understanding of business objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with developers.
  • Pragmatic and holistic thinking capabilities, with a talent for translating requirements into actionable testing criteria.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Robust problem-solving skills, a result-oriented mindset, and a proactive attitude.
  • Eager to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • A minimum of three years in software testing or relevant position.
  • Proficiency in English.
Advanteges
  • Knowledge of Swagger, Postman, Elastic-Kibana, RabbitMQ, MinIO
  • Msc. or PhD. Degree in a specialized field of study.
  • Experience with release and user acceptance test management.
  • Familiarity with SOAP UI.
  • ISTQB certification.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies like Docker.
  • Skills in test automation.
  • Hungarian language
